CARTA BLANCA «DOS»

We are pleased to introduce “Carta Blanca”, an event conceived with the idea of giving some voice to artistic proposals far away from our exhibiting style.

“DOS” (Two), is a serie of images created by the photographer Lucía Fernández Muñiz that explores the interaction between two elements between them and along with the enviroment.

There is not a very clear or specific use of elements in order to stablish an obvious significance in “DOS”, and , for that purpouse the characters appears lacking of expresion.

There is, besides, an ongoing intention of the artista in charge for offering a psicological glimpse of the others and herself as well.

“DOS” is full of poses, scenes and enviroments that suggest homesickness, memories or dreams, among other things. Either giving the eye scenes, the presence of pets or just unreal places give us the meassure of our conexión to relationships realm.

BIOGRAPHY

LUCÍA FERNÁNDEZ MUÑIZ

Lucía Fernández Muñiz studied Design at Leeds College of Art & Design (Leeds, UK) before graduate at Facultad de Bellas Artes de Cuenca (Cuenca, Spain).

Working as an Art Director for several Tendences Magazines such as Elle or Vanidad in Madrid, Lucía decides going Pro as a photographer. Thanks to Instagram, she adquires a fast fame in the App making her profile one of the most followed.

Her interest for portrait lead her to perform several celebrities shootings: Liam Gallagher, Juan Antonio Bayona, Carolina Herrera, The XX, Alex de la Iglesia, Blanca Suarez, and Eduardo Noriega among others that she got released on several magazines: El País, Elle, Esquire, Vanidad, Neo2, El Tentaciones, etc. Lucía Fernández Muñiz has participted in some collective exhibitions in Madrid: La Fábrica (PhotoEspaña), Sala Canal de Isabel II and selected twice for “GENERACIONES” (Fundación Monte Madrid). Galería Tournemire has consecrated her first solo show.
