ALEJANDRO BOMBÍN

Alejandro Bombín was born in Madrid in 1985. He has exhibited individually at the Fernando Pradilla Gallery (Madrid, 2013 and 2011) and participated in several group exhibitions at Galería Tournemire (Madrid, 2019), Treinta (Huelva, 2019), Parallel Spac (Hong Kong, 2018) or Gallery Aurora Vigil (Gijón, 2018). Alejandro Bombín has also been part of the ArtMarbella (2017), ArtesSantander (2017), SUMMA (2015), Artlima (2014) and Justmadrid (2012) art fairs.
Alejandro Bombín’s work is inspired by Pop Art and New Figuration. The artist takes pleasure on deforming bodies and portraits thanks to a particular production system: from very large printed images, he cuts very fine shreds and then reproduces each of them into the painting surface pixel by pixel. The end result randomly creates deformations.
